Defense chief says no US police role in Haiti BOARD A U.S. MILITARY AIRCRAFT – U.S. Defense Secretary Robert Gates said Monday the U.S. forces in Haiti for earthquake relief can defend themselves and innocent Haitians or foreigners if lawlessness boils over.
